Brian, the bugs must know you, and know that you'll put them on the internet and make them famous. ;)

Awesome shots!

Thanks AB :)
Well I do have a waiting list ;) .
Found this of course when I was doing some dewdrop refraction shots- amazing what you find in the grass :)

did it carry the water back to the nest?

RM- No - this was entirely a bit of luck- suspect the ant had blundered into the dewdrop and was trying to get free of it :)

Next shot in sequence

wouldn't it be cool if we could just carry water like that, lol

Great one-in-a-million find!

So where are the refraction shots?
LOL

Thanks for looking and commenting Dave, lawrie and Mike- I thought the shots were quite funny but doubt the ant did :)
Mike- just for you http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=303547

Nice series LordV. This could be a nice add for bottled water companies or in california for the draught we are having again.

Geez, man! You've got this down to an art...I mean a science...

Wait...I guess that's just called "photography".

But you get the idea...nice job!

Omg, thats awesome! Not only does the fact that a drop of water can sit on an ant... (makes you feel like a giant, doesnt it?) but the fact that you caught that with a camera. All your pictures are great, its photographers like you, dave, racket and a bunch of others (the names elude me at this moment) that really inspire me to get out there and practice so one day my shots could possibly be that good!

An absolutely BRILLIANT sequence Brian! :D RM- No - this was entirely a bit of luck- suspect the ant had blundered into the dewdrop and was trying to get free of it :)
I'm disapointed, I thought you had them trained better than that. :p

Thanks again for the kind comments everyone- much appreciated :)
Funny how often I seem to be setting up to do a shot of something else and you spot something like this going on.
