I am traveling to Atlanta next week and have scheduled some outdoor swimsuit and lingerie shoots but need some help on location ideas.

Any one here from Atlanta or who can point me in the right direction.

Atlanta?

Try Peachtree Street.

(That's a local joke, because there are a zillion Peachtree Streets.)

The park downtown by the convention center is popular for all kinds of general photography.

For the swimsuit shots I would recommend going up around Lake Lanier somewhere if you want an outdoor setting with water in it. There are multitudes of parks with beaches, such as Lake Lanier Islands. I've never done a shoot there, so I don't really know who to contact.

For outdoor portraits, I use either Barnsley Gardens in Chatsworth (about 1 1/2 hours north of Atlanta on I-75), or Callaway Gardens near LaGrange (about 1 hour south of Atlanta on I-85). Both of these venues charge a fee. Barnsley Gardens charges $250.00 and Callaway charges $500.00. Both venues are excellent facilities and both have websites with all the contact info. You need to call them and make sure that you can get in. If they have an event going on, you'll be out of luck.

If you don't want to go that route, there are some State Parks with waterfalls, etc., but some of those charge a fee to Pro photographers too. One of those is Amicalola State Park and Waterfalls near Dawsonville on Hiway 53 north of Atlanta.

Shots of downtown with long exposure night shots come out very nice.
