EDIT: I have learned that images must remain as they were when voted on, so the images have been removed by myself, due to irrelevance.
The original image aspect ratio is full frame (4X6) but I was just told I could submit any aspect ratio for the final image. So it got me thinking, I don't really like all the "empty space" at the bottom of the image. So I cropped to a 8X10 aspect, however then I wasn't within "The Rule of Thirds" so now I need your help is deciding which one makes it into the POTN book.

When I look at the first image I see the whole scene. When I look at the second I am drawn to the laughter of the little girl (?). Which message are you trying to get across?

Hehe. Don't get me wrong, the scene is still visible in the second but you have to "look around" the children. I chose the second BTW, especially if this is for the people section of the book.

Nick,
The image should be cropped exactly as per the original submission.

Same as how you submitted it, that's what people voted for, after all.

Whoops, I guess I read your PM wrong:
Please take note of the following...
- Images should be cropped to the photographer's desired aspect ratio (the same as your original book submission).
Guess I'll leave it alone then. Now I really wish I would have cropped it before I submitted, oh well.

Why? It obviously looked good enough the way it was in the contest!

I know I know...But it's one of those things that will forever bug you. Ya know?
Either way I'm still happy the image made it.
