Amazing storm over harbour

Took this on the way home - an amazing storm hit Sydney and it was a photographer's dream!!

and when I got to Manly, the other end of the 15 minute trip, I watched, amongst many others, the clouds drift over the Harbour:

Nice job of capturing Mother Nature at work. That must be kind of refreshing at times to take the ferry rather than be couped up in a car commuting down a freeway.

Thanks Jim. Its the best way to get to work but if Sydney had a freeway from where I live to where I work, I would possibly use it! But there again, I would not get pictures like these!

Lots of mood here Sheila. I love storms. We never get the orange skies here. Many memory jogging elemets are here ... the pounding waves ... the rakes of rain ... the splash of sunlight (foreground cloud). Very nice. I prefer this to the harbour scene because of its added color and simplicity.
