Does the Canon ES-71II Lens Hood for EF 50mm f/1.4 Lens screw on or is it a bayonet mount?

Agreed. . . . . in addition the OEM hood with a CPL is a bear. What on earth was Canon thinking? I'm going with the $6 generic rubber screw on.
