Yay!!! Found some bees

I finally found some bees today.
Did you know bees drink water? I was sitting by the creek waiting for a dragonfly to settle down when these bees started landing on the ground and started drinking the water.

Interesting shots- many bugs seem to be attracted to water with minerals in it- so it may have been the minerals rather than the water ( a common way of attracting butterflies in tropical forests is to pee on the ground).

Good shots Lawrie, and yes, I've seen bees drinking water before. 2nd shot is slightly soft, but you're getting better :)

I thought #2 was soft byt it was muddy and rocky nso I took it quickly

Yup, better to have a soft image, than to risk falling over and breaking some camera gear. Always be cautious when dealing with wet and slippery things (women included lol).
