Which polarizing filter for Pro90?

I want a polarizing filter for my Pro90. I am willing to pay for the best if it makes sense with the Pro90. It is my understanding that some lenses can make better use of the extra coatings, thin thickness, etc. than can others. Please help me to choose from the following. I already own a Hoya UV 58super filter. Thanks! Teffy :-)

Check with the store you bought it from, since you already have the pricing. Since the 90 has internal focus, then anything circular would do fine...just make sure the rings are not aluminium...or it's gonna be stuck on permenantly!

Can you tell me more about the Aluminum filter thingy?

I ordered a Pro90 with the Lens Hood and a Canon 58mm UV Filter - I have no idea if the filter is Aluminum -
should I find out and are they typically made of aluminum?

It is true that aluminum tends to "gall" which can make removal difficult if not impossible if you over tighten. There is a product used for the manufacturing industry called "never seize" (SP??). It is a cream like product that you apply to the threads and comes ina tube (like toothpaste). A thin coating is all it takes and it works great!

I purchased this filter for my Pro90 - it works fine. The "Super" HMC is a harder coating than the HMC according to the guy at The Filter Connection (www.2filter.com). Their web site has a wealth of information about filters in general. Also, Hoya's web site has information on their CPols too.

Be aware that the slim filter is a bit odd as to how the ring works. It's more like a ring on the end of the filter turns. It's a bit awkward, but it does work OK once you are used to it. I was a bit disappointed when I first got it, but now it seems to work quite well for me. It's just a different turning mechanism.
