Most IR people seem to be using a Hoya R72.

i herd about it and read abotu it and they sya it dont work to goog with the digital rebel but they dont give any reasons why and i dotn want to waste 57 bucks jsut was wonderign if anyoen out there does any IR photgraphy

There's quite a few doing it on the DPReview Forums. You're best off having a look over there, www.dpreview.com if you haven't been there before.

I've been experimenting with an 89A filter and my D30 and 10D, but I understand that filter is stronger than the 72, so it's not a valid comparison. That said, my D30 is definitely more sensitive than my 10D - by 1-2 stops.
