Captured this with the G7 last night, barely got to the end of the boardwalk
in time to get it with the sunset in view;

Nice shots Gary. Did you do any post-processing of those images, or are they out-of-camera shots?

Where are the cannon ports? No pirate ship is complete without cannons!

Great shot. Saw this ship last year hanging out down in Clearwater.

Thanks, the one shot where the background is blown out, I had set the camera to +2 stops otherwise the ship would have been a silhouette, so I know there are major highlights
blown out a lot but I wanted the details to be captured of that.

Added to say, I purchased a wrist lanyard from Circuit City, but, it had a metal square
that the strap was attached with, so, when I got home I sanded it down a little bit to
glue down some soft kid skin leather so the metal doesn't bang into the camera housing.

I was shooting over the edge of a pier and man was I scared that I might have dropped
the camera, as nice as it is, the metal housing is a little bit too smooth!
So, I would recommend a lanyard!

Thanks, I cloned out some things in the water, but left the one piece as it looks like
a pirate that was left to hang there as a warning ;) here is a link to the image as it
is a larger size

Thats the famous pirate ship. How do you like all the construction down on the beach. Its turning into condos. We'll soon be the condo state. It is sad. They knocked out most of the small businesses to put in high rise condos. I thinks theres only like one or two hotels left on the beach, and they are outrageously priced. Di you get any pictures of the sand key bridge or the clearwater memorial bridge?

Very nice Gary, we had a tour a couple of years ago and it was great, well worth the money and a real "Hoot"

Thanks guys, as to the bridges, perhaps on my next trip down, I'm there on June 3rd for a week, hopefully the smoke has cleared a bit, last time down it was painfully smokey!

And yep, not a nice piece of construction going on there, weird, but I guess they do it for the money!
Went south the last time I was there, down to St Pete's Beach, to a place called the Brass Monkey bar and grill, excellent food and right close to the water, gulf side.

I'm so sick of Tampa/Clearwater... Ugh.
Me moved out to Lutz (north of Tampa) 4 years ago, to live in the "countryside" rather than the concrete jungle that the rest of the area is, and now the construction is ruining all of that as well...

A picture of a local tree, I believe there is a housing estate there now...

When will the developers learn? They ruin the reason people move to an area in the first place! They are doing the same thing to the Nashville area... which I consider one of the most beautiful places to live in the USA.
