My mouth has lost its water months ago...ever since I started browsing this forum.
However, I think it did find a tiny reservoir just for this occasion.

From the link above:
"All sales are final, sold "AS IS". No guarantee or warranty is expressed or implied. Items that are used are represented as such, and may have cosmetic and/or functional imperfections. Shipping and Payment terms are outlined above and are not negotiable. If you have questions, e-mail me BEFORE you bid. "

It's surprising how annoying saliva is when it's all over your keyboard...

Perfect duck lens. Lets see, if I sell the wifes car, sell her golf clubs, cancel her membership in the club, sell her excerise bike, sell her mountain bike, sell her leather coats, hmmmm I'd still be a little short. Got to think about this............

definitely one of the safer sellers on epay.
That 'no warrantee expressed or implied' worries me though
One HAS to have at least a 'non DOA' guarantee....and with a good lens,a test period. :x

"It is a USA lens, not an imported version." - is it a self made lens then? If so, it is (at least cosmetically) a very good replica! Not sure if worth that much money though...

He would be refering to an official import rather than a 'grey' import
Not that it matters i think-isn't this only applicable to a warrantee situation?

I would be very careful dropping that kind of money sight-unseen on anything, especially on eBay. I don't know. If this was a good deal, I'd use a good escrow service to protect myself. That way you can check out the lens, have a competent camera shop look it over for you, and then have the escrow service release the money after a set time.
Be careful.

If I spend this kind of money on a piece of glass, I think I will buy it new.
Although tough, I would prefer to be the only one handling it.

I wouldn't touch that auction with a ten-foot pole.
