I'm looking for a site to host and sell some of my images. A friend mentioned SmugMug?
Anyone have any thoughts on this, other ideas?

thanks

Smugmug allows viewers of the images to buy prints if you choose, but to be able to make any money from it you have to sign up for their "Pro" level service. This level allows you set you own prices for prints and you are paid the difference between your price and the normal Smugmug print price. At the lower levels, you are unable to do this and don't get any proceeds from print sales.

Zenfolio states that they will be offering this service soon on their unlimited package. $40 per year. They don't have it in place yet.

i love my smugmug site. Its easily customizable and looks like a site created from scratch. The pro package comes in at £70 but i think its worth it.

I plan to research this further, but can you tell me what the limit is for uploading files (Pro package). You must consume a lot of server space uploading hi-res images for larger prints?

Read this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=213013) if you're skeptical.
