Hiya All

Well while RM & Brian are basking in the sun in their neck of the woods it's been raining here in the South Hams  so I took the camera into the garden shed just in case !!

Picked up my old all in one waterproof & there staring me in the eye was this beggar, hell it was big, the Velcro you can see in the shot is 11/4" which in new money is 32mm !! anyway I took #1 then moved to take #2 just as I squeezed off the shot it ran straight at the camera, ha not only the camera it shot up my arm, face then disappeared down the back of my T-Shirt, tickled quite a bit, eventually it worked its way round to my Belly Button which is when I released it

I'm purely assuming it's a Cardinal owing to its size.

Cheers for now
Mark

You did well not to harm the little devil, much as I like spiders they have to remain in view and I think my reactions would have done that one some damage.

hahaha Mark, very well done and very brave. As much as I like spiders, and as much as I've learnt to control my arachnophobia, I don't know if I'd have behaved sanely with that crawling up my arm etc. Granted, it was probably very scared, and panicked. Good shots :)

Hiya Eccles, Lisa, Brian, Macro_mike, RM, Dave, Lawrie,

Many thanks for your kind words & comments,

Lisa,
I'm sure you'll overcome your fear one day !! I managed to.
When I was young ( 4 ) my mothers boyfriend ( ******* ) used to put spiders in my bed & think it funny, I guess to see me screaming & crying consequently I grew up terrified, by the age of 14 I'd started getting into survival stuff & had to get over this fear so I started picking up money spiders & gradually got used to bigger & bigger spiders & by the time I was 16 I could let em run all over me, good luck hope you get over your fear !!

Cheers for now
Mark
