My wife lost my lenscap (grrr) and to get around it I simply used the plastic filter adapter and added a uv filter and then a normal canon lens cap intended for an eos lens, you can even get an ultrasonic one if you like.

I think it looks a lot better and may even help prevent dust getting inside!

This site (http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/pspro1/package-e.html) doesn't list a part number for the lens cap.

You're better off contacting Canon directly.

Possibly a late answer, but, as fatdeeman, I use the 58mm Lens Cap on a UV filter permanently attached to the lens.

It seems that the original small Pro 1 lens cap is considered a spare part rather than an accessory.

In a PARTS CATALOG for the Pro1 I found this:

PART NO. C84-1210-000 LENS CAP UNIT

hope it helps

Sorry for the bump, but I recently got a Pro1 off Craigslist for $13 0(just wanted to say that it was an AWESOME deal) and I just want the parts manual in case something goes wrong. I also got it without the lens cap and until then I have to use the 58mm filter adapter and my old kit lens cap. I need the original one as I use the lens hood a lot. Thanks.

$13.00, damn that's low.

In the US call 1-800-OK-CANON. Part number C84-1210-000. I do not remember the cost.

I too use my hood regularly so the filter adapter trick is somewhat problematic.
I purchased two of them since they fall off so easily. I suggest an after market tether.
