Dallas area Canon 10D (and DRebel) owners?

Anyone in the Dallas area that has the 10D, and possibly ALSO the DRebel? If so... up for a little demo to help me decide which is best for me? Playing with them in the store just doesn't cut it.

I bet there are some local shops that will let you rent a camera over the weekend for a small fee. Call around, see what you come up with.

Check with Ramsey at Competitive Camera on Irving Blvd. (in the industrial district). I bet he will let you try one out before buying.

What I did: (Comparing 10D and Nikon D100.) I brought 2 CF cards into the local camera store and took some test shots in the store and right outside. Tried to shoot duplicates with each camera. Went home, opened the images in PS Elements and made my choice.

Has a 10D for rent. I don't think the price is too bad. I can't remember the name of the correct shop. They are both just off of Motor St betwn I35 and Irving Blvd.

One other suggestion. I would rent a 10D and take your usual pictures and go over each of the features and then try to decide if you really need them. I think the big one is the Flash Exposure Compensation. Can you get along without that?
I think the picture taking part (CMOS) is the same.
