Now I got my new Kenko tubes nothing safe in the garden anymore :-) Snapped these aphids today. I think I'm going to have fun with these tubes.

Hiya Alby,

Good shots, now you'll have some fun eyeball to eyeball stuff with those Tubes.

Cheers for now

You won't be dissatisfied one little bit I'm sure. What ones have you gone for?

Thanks Mark, it's not just the shooting but just watching micro life through them is fascinating.

Nice pics with the new gear.
What lens were these coupled to?
Please don't take this the wrong way, here are a few pointers though,
flash lighting seems a little harsh there are a few hot spots and there are sharpening halos around the Wings on the Second image.
I would keep the Aperture somewhere between f/8 and f/11 try and find the sweet spot of that lens combo and adjust ISO to 200 to give you slightly better shutter speeds.
Very good first attempt though, nice when you can see potential from new gear.

Thanks for the pointers Sam and all is taken in the constructive way. I am using my 28-105 USM II. I will give your method a try, I'm very new to macro shooting and can do with all the advice I can get, although I've been snapping 30 odd years I'm finding this a lot of fun and am now wondering why I hadn't played with macro before now.
