I had ordered an Ultra Sensor Cleaning kit from Copperhill Images last week and I just received the package today. To my surprise, I found two quite humorous and unexpected items included with my purchase:

along with the items i bought, i received a special gift of a slinky and a bag of cookies.. AWESOME.. it was so worth the s&h costs :) if this is normal and old news, i apologize, but I did find it quite funny nonetheless.

Now all i need to do is to find a sterile, dust-free environment to mess around with the sensor cleaning (and I dont think my dorm room will cut it :p..) wish me luck, and THANK YOU copperhill images!!

looks like we got exactly the same kit except for the chocolate chip cookie.

I feel left out now.. but I have to admit I,ve found the sensor cleaning kit to work very well..

you can make your own quasi clean box with a few household items. as bizaar as this sounds look up some website dealing with mycology(fungus/mushrooms) and spores. If you want some help let me know.

I had the same thing happen when ordering from Micro-tools. There was a candy sampler bag with Tootsie rolls, and a couple of pieces of hard candy. I guess they wanted to make sure my blood sugar was up so as not to give out mid-clean. :)

Hahaha, looks like its time to order some more Eclipse and Pec Pads then! I got the slinky too and frequently order from Micro-tools and love that candy packet! I have one that came in a few weeks ago I haven't opened yet.

I love the sensor swipe system but really think the Visible Dust brushes are better than the Copperhill brushes.

ahh, so the slinky was a normal extra gift huh?

well, i just finished cleaning my friend's 20d sensor, and man, what a difference!!

Before:

After:

(both shot at f/32 and adjusted contrast/brightness for dust visibility)

wow, I never knew cleaning a sensor was that easy!! (yes, I did take about 6 tries, but I felt so much more confident in doing it each consecutive time). hmm, next time im sure to get all those faint specks..

hmm.. i might start a camera cleaning business here on campus.. hehe..

Nyah, I think I’ll complain, I got only the slinky. :p
Nice touch and good product, sensor cleaning is piece of cake with Copperhill kit!
