Hey guys.

Last summer I was vacationing in Nice in the south of France. If any of you are familiar with the city, you probably know of the Negresco Hotel which is a landmark in that city. The hotel is definitely a beautiful sight and although we were not staying in it we decided to wonder inside to see what it looks like. The main hall of it is an open round area where there are several different works of art along with some couches. One one such couch there was a cat taking a nice nap in the middle of the day. Well I decided to snap a picture. Figuring it wasn't anything special I just stood in front of the couch and decided to capture the painting above the couch. Upon coming back from Europe I was looking through the pictures and found an interesting anomaly with this particular picture. If you look at the plaque under the painting, there appears to be something there. At first I thought it was just a reflection of some kind, but it appears to extend above the plaque and under the painting. I am still thinking that this is some kind of funky reflection, but wanted to know what your thoughts were. BTW I only have one shot of this as I figured it wasn't anything special and when I looked at the LCD on the cam, the photo seemed to come out ok.

That is probably the reflection of your feet in the shiney gold plaque, as you stood in front of the piece to photograph it.

...and I think I see a piece of clear plastic is used to fasten the plaque to the painting?

Definately, the brass plaque is fixed to a piece of perspex that extends below the painting.

Those are what humans call feet.

Even a big, fancy hotel in France has a house cat. :) Or is it guarding the painting?

yeah....I can make out a faint outline of a clear piece of plastic going all the way down from the painting to the plaque (my monitor's gamma is set a little brighter). So it's definitely a reflection of someone's feet.....but who's feet:eek::eek:

Hope you don't have a ghost in your camera;):D

Actually it is good to have a "ghost" in anything electronic. It is bad when you "give up the ghost".
