Hi,
Did these for my brother the other day. Had planned a sunset or night shoot, but went too early with family and couldn't stay...
Could you all let me know what you think...

you wanted c&c so, heres my take on them...
is the first one photshopped? the blur on the rear is kinda unnatural looking to me.
try toning down the contrast, it will make the strong blue reflections a bit less obvious and bring back detail to the black paintwork.
also, i notice your brothers looking at you in the last image, shouldn't he be looking at the road? maybe you might wanna remove the plates from the shots too?

Yep, and you are right, Radial Blur on both wheels at (10% both wheels)

Jeese i gotta long way to go!!! Your B-fly shots are very good. A consistent car blur takes some practice, though, & it's a crapshoot?
It depends on the distance to the subject, the angle to the subject, the focal length, the speed of the subject, & the effect that you're trying to get. Sometimes when I'm playing with blurs & I'm out of practice, I throw a lot away! ;)

I like the shots, but prefer the color to the BW or selective shot.
OT, but why remove the plates? Do people troll photography forums for kewl cars to steal?

The fake blur isn't doing it for me, sorry.

Yeah i attended two motorcycle road races (on local minor public roads Think Isle of Man TT/Northwest 200) and i found that i got more keepers towards the end of the first day, my next trip, the next Saturday got me even more keepers. So maybe i'd better go to a few more of these this season and then attempt his car again.
Thanks for C&C Guys, guess i'll put these down to experience. I agree with the fake blur, but i think the first one looks natural enough? No?
Also on the wheel radial Blur. Does this really look photoshopped? I thought it looked natural (still do). If its the fact that the fron looks like it is moving slower than the rear, the original looks the same. Both wheels were blurred by 10%. Problem is that if i used a real high shutter speed and the linear(for background) and radial(for wheels) i could get a kickass sharp car. Radial blur effectively does away with the need to keep shutter speeds long enough to blur the moving parts to allow for an impression of speed.
I am new to this type of photography, so these are genuine questions which i don't understand.
Thanks for links and Butterfly pics, yeah its easy when they aren't moving :)

its for people that steal cars and they can put on fake plates that have you registration.

So maybe i'd better go to a few more of these I go to the end of the street & shoot traffic. ;)

also tax evaders, Why would they? Isn't it easier to go to any parking lot & get an original?

Here's my 2 cents...Looks like the top 3 shots have been completely post-processed for motion blur and radial blur...judging by the 'ghostly' car shadow around the front and rear bumpers. Also..don't forget to convert the colour in the windows (3rd shot) to black and white...nice car by the way...clean.

But you may then be driving arount the same area with a car with the same plates. This way you'd be miles away. But then a simple phonecall to your thievin' mate at the other end of the country would do the same thing?
Thanks for comments, will try again in a few weeks :)
