Okay... this is over the top. But it's Spring and that brings out the best and worst... and in a way, here they are all crammed together. On W. Lemon Street which could be a nice neighborhood in any aging American city. And in the sun... the new-leaf colors are splashy in Spring... so I couldn't help myself for careening over the top with this thing. Sorry...

Over the top is right, but I do like it. It's got nice pastels to it, and is a painting like effect. Very nice work, and I think your efforts paid off. For some reason, it reminds me of the French Quarter, in New Orleans. Nostalgic.

Mind having a stab at one of mine (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=306348)?

Over the top for a photograph. For art - you hit the target!

No apologies needed.
It has no resemblance to photography but I can imagine you'd be able to sell prints (limited edition perhaps) quite easily - I find it fresh & cheerful....good job!

I like it a lot. I like the temperature of the colors. It is easy on the eyes

This looks like it belongs on the cover of a compilation of poetry...

I like it.

Wow! You really were having some fun, weren't you! You'd think the "unnatural" mixture of colours and textures would jar on the eye, but they don't. I couldn't stop admiring your work. Print yourself a big poster and put it up somewhere prominent right now!

Yes, now that you mention it, the facades of the late 19th early 20th century row homes do hold a common theme in America's older cities whether they be in Chicago, New Orleans, Boston or Lancaster. You have a good eye.

Art? Hey... thanks!

Nice points. And yes, when all the processing ended ... a lot of the photo elements got 'bliterated, eh? Still, I cannot draw... so the engine here is entirely photographic. Which is a reflection of the tools we now have at our disposal as photgraphers, eh? Thanks for the "fresh & cheerful Jane."

And "eye" candy, even when it comes with empty calories, can be fun, huh?

Wow... poetry! Now even though you see it on the wrapping, to even associate my stuff with the poetic is terrific. And sure, Deck... I'm always in a collaborating mood. :)

Um... okay... you folks are so nice that I've tried to see if you'll tolerate one more of my wretched excesses of OVER THE TOP graphics which you'll see if you click here. (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=306900) Yeah, it was "some fun" to see how much I could tease out of a photographic image. There's so much we can do now... the real challenge is to control the tools that we've been given when they're whispering to us challenges to leap over the top. Thanks for the encouragement everyone.;)
