I can picture guys going up to people at ATM machines, like the stereo speakers scams that guys try to pull off. "Hey dude"...."Yeah?"..."You want to buy a professional digital camera for a really good deal?"..."why is it such a good deal?......"Well you see, my company ordered 12 and they delivered 12 gross, and we can sell these because there is no record. I will make you a deal at $400 for one.." So happens that's the max ATM withdrawl....Get home, open box and it is full of rocks.
I think they should have told us what kind of gear was in the truck, so we could be looking out for the hot gear...
IT WOULD SUCK SO BAD IF MY MARK II WAS ON THAT TRUCK. AND WITH MY KIND OF LUCK....IT PROBABLY WAS....

Sounds like an inside job. I wonder how long the driver had been working for the trucking company... the cat was probably his ex-wife's cat too.

I hate to admit it, but if someone offered me an MKII off of that truck for about $500, and I actually had it in my hands, I'd be very tempted to receive stolen property. I know that's horrible. I need help
Something similar to this happened a month or so ago where I live. A Best Buy truck was hijacked from right outside of the store (well, loading docks anyway). The police found the trailer only a few hours later, abandoned in a business park, with only 25% of the freight remaining, after the truck driver, who had been bound and put in the back of the cab, called the police. Apparently, only what they couldn't fit in their own truck, that they had waiting. It was well planned, and they were never caught. I imagine they won't be, unless they're careless with their fence, or someone talks.

"Last seen heading north on Rt 71."
Gee. I've always dreamed of some guy coming up to me on the street, flashing a 1Ds and asking if I wanted to buy a camera. Well, if he stops
anywhere around Freehold, N.J., I just might shell out $500 for one of those
Mark II's.
