Wondered if anyone knew if they make a ring that can fit on a strap to go around a tele lens like the 70-200 so you can carry on neck and not have all the weight on the mount?

Thanks

You could always attach a strap to the tripod mounting ring with a 1/4-20 bolt.

The only strap that comes with the lens is for the pouch...

You're right though, a regular camera strap will leave the lens wanting to hang down.

I've seen some "cradles" on eBay that supposedly get around this, but it looks a little goofy and couldn't tell you if it works or not...

From my experience with my 70-200 and my 10D the lens cradle they refer to in the previous post works like a charm. I do a lot of hiking and walking at large events (horse races, cross country ect.) I don't think it looks at all "goofy" and it get the job done.
