#1, cant see where hes coming from. too tight of a crop
#2, it would be a nice little sequence if it was presented better.
#3, too tight
#4, same deal plus cut off his head

try to find a better angle at this spot

thank you very much for the honest feedback, it'll definitely help me next time. I know I have cut off heads and limbs, I just gotta watch out for that next time. How should number 2 be presented better? And they are too tight as in the subjects are too close to eachother? How should I do those kind of pictures differently next time?

I re-did number 2. What do you think now?

On the first image, is he posing? it looks like his left foot is almost half way on the step not the board...

i know you cant do much about it since he's goofy (unless you shoot him doing it backside??) and his back will be towards you but in skateboarding my rule(as well as other known skate photog's) is "no ass shots".

second you cant see his face, who is he?

Hope these help you set up your next shots! :P keep shooting!

And it looks like he's holding on to the fence with his left hand. Not good.

That's the rule to live by with skateboarding photography (and videography). Sure, there will be times when you don't have a choice, but that'll be rare.

#2 looks better now.

now that i think about it i think the problem with this spot is that theyre goofy and the ledge is set up so that you can either photograph their back, or from the side...unless they come at it heelside. id probably look for a whole new location if i was you
