Hi, I'm just wondering how you package your work when you have to mail it to people? Do you have anything custom printed with your logo on it? and if so where did you get it? I think presentation is very important, and I want people to get excited when they see my package in the mail. Also how do you have it packaged when you are just hand delivering it to the client? Thanks for any suggestions.

I use brown envelopes, the kind that has that little metal piece on it to seal the envelope. Its neutral and comes in different sizes to fit the pictures.

I'm interested to see what the big guys do in regards to this as well. :)

Be Careful! I hope the prits are in a protective slip, as that metal clasp can scratch an image or leave a imprint.

i put my proofs in a nice album, the prints they purchase get put in a very nice acid free white 'wedding' box with a black ribbon.

White catalog envelopes with no metal clasp in various sizes to fit the prints with a gold foil sticker displaying my logo and website smack in the middle on the front. Simple, clean, and elegant. You can get all of the supplies (including the gold foil labels) at your local Staples.

Clear plastic zip lock bags, inside strong stiff cardboard mailers. They go inside a plastic courier envelope.

WOW!
These are some great ways to mail and deliver the photos.
I really enjoy the one that

When someone places an order they can choose "hold for pick-up" or "ship it". If they are picking up the prints I put them in white envelops in a variety of sizes with an invoice attached to the front. If I'm shipping the prints I put them in a cardboard mailer envelop. I get the supplies from a local paper store called Xpedx.

I guess I'm just lazy, but I have the lab drop ship them to the customer. Works for me, works for them.

I use black presentation boxes from dnlphoto.com, tied with a ribbon in the center and a business card hole punched in the corner tied to the bow in the center. If I am mailing individual prints, they go in black paper sleeves, then inside a cardboard photo mailer with no clasps - just the stick and seal kind.

DNL will make a die of your logo and foil imprint on your boxes for around $50 - I'll be doing it on my next order.

Thanks Jamie! For the roughly $6 I spent on it, I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Usually they'd go in a gift bag for pick up/drop off, but this one was getting shipped to an out of town customer, so it all went in a box.

black boxes with my logo for larger orders, black bags with my logo for single print orders. Bought the boxes and bags from dnlphoto.com.

All prints go in glasine envelopes (from B&H).

Prints that I put in boxes get wrapped in charcoal/metallic tissue paper that I bought from Paper Mart.

Here's a quick snapshot of a 5x7 box and an 8x10 bag.
