loving the angle of shot, but im not sure if that's the kind of picture you would use BW with.

Yeah, that's why I changed it to black & white. I thought the "desolate" tone was already there and then his vague pondering seems appropriate.

Yeah, I don't have photoshop at home (I use it at school) and so when I resized it in the program I had at home, weird stuff happened. The B&W I did at school. It's strange.

i was kinda hoping for a bright, sharper image in colour.
the colour image looks rather soft.
but between those, the BW definetely looks better.

yep the colour version definitely looks alot softer and pixelated / out of focus. perhaps you could have a go at increasing the contrast in the black and white one do its has a little more punch - there are not many real black areas and it looks a bit washed out - but this does add to the image in a sort fo way

I like the first one. "Desolate" should be more about the tone than the coloring. I think that this guy is not too depressed, but deep in thought. He doesn't look suicidal- just contemplative. His shoulders and head-turn make me think this. Do you know him? Keep showing us your work.

He's not depressed at all, it just seems that way because of the lonliness of the landscape.
He's my boyfriend.
