A few quick ones from a walk on the river yesterday...
http://www.piupdate.co.uk/pictures/pictures.htm
All with 1dmkII, 70-200 IS @ 200 . Exif in small camera icons at bottom of big pics
Raw (ACR 2.2) + focalblade (still getting hang of sharpening these big files - sig. different from D60)

To me it looks like you do not need any special tools to sharpen most of Mark II photos - 100/.3/0 + 100/.3/0 with plain old Unsharp mask works very well.
PS. Do you have any initial comments on Mark II?

Incredible color and detail in your shots. I can't wait to get mine. Supposed to ship tomorrow from B&H.
One question, I have Focal Blade working fine in PSE2. I can't seem to get it to show up in PS CS. How do I get PS CS to see it as well?

Unlike the D60, it really uses the entire width of the histogram.
AWB is very hard to fool (outside at least). No WB correction needed on any of the pics I posted.
Canon have clearly tried to produce as artifact free a pic as poss. when using RAW (haven't used jpeg yet), hence output is initially soft, but with the potential to sharpen enormously without artifacts/halos, etc.
1000 asa on 1dmkII seems sig better than 400 on D60.
Battery still reading fully charged after 2 days of shooting and reviewing.
I can see pretty much everything going on inside viewfinder when wearing glasses.
Anyone coming from a D60 will immediately notice that every single pic is in focus, no matter what the ambiant light.
Any downsides ??
1. I noticed a blob of dust on the Richmond pic. Never happened in 2 years with D60.
2. Portrait shutter has a hair trigger (can be adjusted by Canon, though)
3. The overexposure warning flashes a little too slowly when reviewing pics(!!) - easy to miss [Note - after 2 days these are the only possible gripes I have]
The camera is an astonishing piece of engineering.

Sorry - it is so long since I installed it so I can't remember - installation should be automatic, though.

It was either that or a ruler.....

Thanks for posting these, Pekka. I'm on a 56K connection right now, so I've only downloaded one (the "Big Ben" picture), but it looks good. I can see this camera or something like it in my future, though not for a few years.

Ahhhhhh, I don't think sharpness is an issue. I count 44 beads of sweat on the girls forehead in the volleyball shot and the sand kicked up is frozen in mid air.
I would still like to see a shot like the volleyball one, but at 8FPS, so I can really chew my fingers off waiting for mine to arrive.

small size and oversharpened, but it shows how well a fast camera can capture action.
Still waiting for mine,

I posted a few here.

These are not "right out of the camera".
These are crops, in Photoshop CS. Quick and Dirty.
Mark II, 70-200 f2.8 IS, with 1.4TC
800 ISO
1/1000th at f/4
-2/3 exposure comp. (don't ask why, I bumped the setting..)
Sun was on the way below the horizon, lights were on at the field.
Very poor lighting...

Since the MKIIs are now flowing into the dealers, any chance that the 'sticky' on this thread can be removed?
Just a thought.
