This seems like a cool place to hang out. Lots of great information to and fro for Canon (and other) photo enthusiasts. I just got a 300D a few weeks ago and am having a great time with it after using a G3 for about a year. Formally used T90's since the late '80's but have finally succumbed completely to AF and digital. Gradually selling the FD stuff on ebay to finance the new gear.

My photo interests are theatre, architecture (especially old buildings) and anything else that looks worth recording. Not into post-processing...yet. But I'm sure that will happen.

For my first image, here's a shot from a Kenny Loggins concert Thursday night. 300D, 24-70mm L at 66mm, 1/60, f/2.8, ISO400.

I know for sure I would've wanted to get closer to the artist. Of course I would've lost the "half-sphere" in the background as you've captured very nice, but I would've gotten the facial expressions of the artists, and imho, I think the facial of the artists is worth more than the scene-background. But just to say it, I'm a newbie, who've only shot two concerts ever, and your milage may vary :)

I'm surprised so many people are even posting pictures of concerts, I always thought that was something artists frowned upon unless you had media credentials...
