Okay.... I cheated. This was taken at a bird show.....but I still think my Pro 1 did a respectable job.

Well, I knew that was wrong cause an eagle has at least a 50x telephoto lens. :)

Nice pics. He looks like a very mellow bird.

Wow, Maureen, that's almost an eye portrait. Nice colors and levels.

I could never come close to shooting birds the way you do.......that is why I had to cheat a little;)

Well I don't do birds very often so this was my chance. I admire and enjoy all your photos sooo much (all of you). I am a regular drooler in this forum.

Hmmm...I didn't know going to the bird show or the zoo considered cheating...I'll know what to do next time!

Great Capture!

Marueen, congratulations on the pictures. You have proven once again it is and always will be the photographer and not the equipment that produces excellent photographs. Excellent composition and timing on the pictures.

Nice job! I'm trying to do better on these, what kind of settings were you using? thanks.

I really am embarrassed to tell you. Since we go to the zoo regularly I opted not to bring along my DSLR and just shot "auto" mode with my P&S. I did turn the flash unit off, tho.
Here is the Eurasian Eagle Owl, also on the same setting.
