No one likes the underwater shots?

Maybe its the little mermaid reference in the title.

Now were talkin, thanks folks.

I love how the flash makes all the colors pop in underwater photography. and how the background even tho they are equally as vivid don't look so because of the flash.

It's a great shot. Taken through glass or were you under water too? :)

I was under as well. Taken with a powershot S500 in a UW housing.

That was taken with the same camera in the housing. I noticed the Morey popping its head out under this little cliff, I couldn't fit between the rocks where he was so I had to blind fire. I took about 5 pics before I decided I was tempting fate sticking my hand into a Morey cave and flashing a bright light in its eyes. When I got back on the boat and looked at the other pics I noticed one of the pics he/she is clearly pissed and mouth wide open, too bad its out of focus :( (I jacked the USM and levels to try to bring it in a bit, you get the general Idea that this is a ticked of critter.)

I was wondering, cause #1 is so clear and crisp.

If you have Photoshop, open the image and go to the channels pallette and click the red channel layer, then look at the sharpness of the image. Then go to the Green and Blue channels. Find the least sharp color channel then make sure that layer only is selected and use Filter/Sharpen/Sharpen Edges on it. Then look at the RGB layer and check the sharpness. You might have to do it to 2 or all three color layers, but I have gotten some great results using this technique on birds and feather detail. Worth a try. :)

You can also check this out. It has a trial download that will let you do 10 images before buying.

Thanks for the tip, I might try that out on some other pics. But these aren't worth it. I got at least one decent capture, kept my hand/arm so I am pleased.
