400D. 1/500 sec. f 13. ISO 400. Sigma 70-300 F4-5.6 APO DG. + Canon 500D. Macro mode. RAW.

Excellent capture- only spotted one damsel in the garden so far this year but didn't get a chance of a pic.

Thanks for all the kind comments - I really need a dedicated Macro lens, 'cause with my current setup it's really hard work :rolleyes:
Ahmad: Nice to hear from you. Saw your recent brilliant macros in the 'other place' - please show them here as well. It has been a very steep learning curve from my Pro1 to the 400D. Almost returned it during the first week! But with all the excellent advice and tips found here it is getting easier. I tried to sell the Pro1 but got no takers - so I'll keep it and continue to enjoy. Congrats on your move BTW ;)

Hiya David,
Great shot, I've not had any Damsels yet but plenty of Larvae scuttling round in my Pond, I've seen a number near the surface recently clawing their way over the ' Elodea ' so like everyone else my eyes are a straining.
