adding 2.02 files before upgrade

Has anyone tried adding the updated 2.02 files to the 2.0 files before doing the upgrade from 1.5? Any reason why it wouldn't work?

I'm not sure that would work too well.

I seem to remember that the upgrade from 1.5 to 20.0 involves running and upgrade script after you've copied the 2.0 files onto the server.

The 2.02 upgrade also has an upgrade script.

Whatever the scripts do might not take too kindly to having mis-matched contents of files/database tables to manipulate.
