Hello all, I am thinking of buying a 70-200 IS L 2.8 from delta international. Can anyone tell me how there service is? And how there products are, i mean there price is really cheap for this lens it like 1685. and i have not found a cheaper price. I know its gray market but, still i have never had to have my canon stuff fixed before anyways. So also one last question guys? Is ther any difference in the black market and usa for the lens i am talking about? Thanks in advnace for all you input.

Hi,

I have read on a couple of forums of people buying from Deltainternational and they have had no problems with them.

Delta International sells on Ebay and they have an impeccable rating.

I too was considering buying from them and I think that when the time comes I will.

Make sure that you pay with a credit card....if something goes wrong it gives you more leverage on things being worked out to your advantage.

I have read that some manufacturers will not service grey market items and that some will service them but with an added service charge which offsets any savings that you took when buying grey market. BUT, I have heard from a Canon rep that Canon services any Canon product with no service charge no matter where you bought it. Check with them before you buy and keep us updated.

Never had anything near a problem with them and have bought a D30, 1D, and lots of L glass. The reviews on photo.net and dpreview.com convinced me and I was not disappointed. Very nice people.

Check these out....

Hey,

You should check this site that rates vendors.

Hope that helps.

I bought D30+Tokina 17mm f/3.5+Canon 28-70mm f/2.8 from
them - everything works fine - they are good sellers.
To tell the truth I also plan to buy 70-200 from Delta now,
but didn't make my mind yet which one IS or non-IS.
