I wanted to post this because I was unable to find this information anywhere in these forums, or on the Adobe website, and ended up calling Adobe for help.
I bought a new PC, and already had PSCS installed on two computers (my old 'home' PC and my laptop), and wanted to know how to go about de-activating PSCS on my old PC so I coudl activate it on my new PC (it will not activate on a third PC).
Adobe online forums and support had NADA, Canon forums, NADA.
I called Adobe and they never explained that it was in the removal process, but did provide an activation code to enable PSCS on my new PC. They never even asked me to remove it from one of the two it was already installed on. I then did the right thing, and went into add/remove programs in XP on my old PC. I found that when I drilled down into the removal process, it actually asks if you want to simply remove the software, or also de-activate it completely from this PC. You'd never know that the removal process went into removing activation unless you did this, and no online help I could find explained it to this level.
Just thought some of you that need to move your licensed copy of PSCS to a new PC might be interested. If you de-activate it, it should allow you to activate on a new platform.
