First pics with new 100mm macro....

First pics from a new 100mm macro lens I just got. Don't know about the image, but the lens rocks! Thought I'd try it out on some roses. Maybe it's just me, but I think the image is kind of erotic or something. Let me know what you think, this is my first venture into real macro pics.

That 100mm Macro puts out some good stuff. The texture alone is great, and the color seems to be kind of Velvety. :D

Yes I can see erotic, I agree with Bruce about the velvety look but it also has a leather like look on some of the petals, you know what most close ups of flower buds and petals tend to resemble... :roll: :roll: :roll:

Anyway nice lens and a great shot :D

For macros out the car - I use the 100-400. ;-)

Very sweet lens... nice & light (of course, anything is light after carrying around the 100-400) and so pretty. These were not set-up shots... just walked over to the roses and took some pics - no tripod, no flash, just me and a slight breeze. I was shocked that they even turned out.
