Does anybody know if Canon has walk-in service centers in NY/CT area? I wonder if it's possible to get the sensor cleaned without sending the camera to Canon by mail.

It takes me about one minute to clean the sensor on my D60. Faster, if I am in a hurry. I'm not sure that I would even drive down the block to have Canon do it.

The closest one to you would be the one in New Jersey in Jamesburg (Monroe Township).
Here's their address:
New Jersey Factory Service Center
100 Jamesburg Road (AKA Ridge Rd)
Jamesburg, NJ 08831
And here's how to get there via mapquest:

BTW, if you don't have a 10D, call them first to make sure they can service you model. Here's their number:
(732) 521-7007

I called Canon. They told me that they don't do drop off/pick up service at the NJ Center. You can drop it off and they will ship it back to you, but you can not wait for it.
