For those who are interested...
I just printed out an "Online Receipt" from
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0167892
for a 10D for a total including overnight shipping at $1,310.98USD ($1,999.99+11.99S&H+99.00Tax).
When you go to the check out page, there is a blue button that applies a 20% discount to the regular price.

On my calculator ($1,999.99+11.99S&H+99.00Tax) = 2110.98, I assume you meant 1199.99?

When you click buy now on the 10D you get:
"The product you requested is no longer available"

This has been typical of my dealings with Microcenter, usually overpriced but they do have some good sales, they just limit the inventory because they always sell out quick.

When I went to the website, there were actually 2 separate listings for the 10D with different PLU numbers. One had "product no longer available" message poped up, the other sailed through. I assumed that they were the same camera (same descriptions) of different lot. I received a confirmation email with an estimated shipping date of 5-2-04. I called Microcenter and was told that the order is being processed and routed to one of 3 distribution facilities, whichever one has the camera in stock will ship it in 3 or 4 days. They did warn me though that there's always a chance of a delay, though they cannot foresee a problem. That's fair to me, Dell went through the same steps when I ordered the DRebel and gave me the worst online transaction experience ever.
Oh! Yes... the price was $1199.00
