Got back late last night from a weekend up at Donington Park - British F3, British GT, BELCAR & Support. Very tiring but enjoyable nonetheless. Even though I was signed on I still found the circuit challenging. Quite often a long way from the action and "dodgy" backgrounds are sometimes hard to avoid... also the sun (when it was out) always seemed to be in the wrong place if you know what I mean. Anyway enough moaning...

Here's a few compressed "forum friendly sized" photos...

#1 Ouch! Nasty accident approaching the Old Hairpin. Somehow the car was rebuilt overnight and made ready for racing on Sunday...

#2 Formula Fords always guarantee some action...

#3 Lights on...

#4 Very nice...

#5 Ahh the Gridgirlies 1...

#6 Ahh the Gridgirlies 2...

#7 The VW Cup was also supporting, good two-wheel action here from the Beetle - actually outdid the Caddy... wohoo!

Some British GT & Heritage GT photos will follow once I have gone through them. I will perhaps post a few here.

If you would like you can view more and larger versions here - http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/210407.html & http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/220407.html (be patient, may take a few seconds to load). More images will be added over the next few days!

Comments welcome as always. Cheers

Spot on ! The Beetle shot is superb.

Did the BGT Lambo turn out or not? They didn't make it to Oulton Park but said it would be ready for Donington..

As has already been said the Herbie shot is great, a couple of the others are quite appealing also;)

Cheers guys. I was quite happy with the Beetle shot, that's the only time that happened all day and luckily I caught it just right.

Geoff, nope sadly no Lambo on show :( Actually in the Saturday morning practice there were quite a few "incidents" and we lost a couple of the other nice cars for the races as well :(

It was done in photoshop....looks better when printed than on screen...IMO. Might take them off though...as I'm getting more negatives than positives about doing it...and those opinions are coming from fellow photographers :-)

Thanks for your feedback

After such a hectic weekend and busy week I've finally got round to finishing off my galleries... feel (http://www.ae-photography.co.uk/210407.html) free to have a nose around if you would like to see more. I won't bother resizing any more for the forum as next weekends racing is now under way :)
