I took these yesterday. How do they look?

ISO 800 is too noisy for these close ups - try ISO 200 and use a tripod if necessary.
#2 has a cool side show with the ant picking up a stray aphid.

Thanks Racketman! I was using a tripod and did switch to a lower ISO after shooting a while.
I'm still trying to learn and every little bit of advice helps.

in that case then you maybe need to get a shutter release and learn how to lock the mirror up, to get optimum sharpness. Flash is definitely the way to go though.

I like the second one a lot.
The first one is ISO 800, that's where all the noise came in. Was it shot in lower lighting (overcast sky \ later in the evening maybe?)
The colors and the ant are really awesome on the second one. It seems brighter as well.
