No time for a lot of comment other than the grids were large (even had reserves), so off we go.

Classic top of The Mountain shot:

Something totally different. Leaving Goosneck on the way to Mansfield:

I love the brute force look:

A bit of a dog fight:

Don't get too close to the red Mustang:

A classy colour scheme:

Last race, the rain started yet the public were still there to watch:

I have been asked to go to Donington this coming weekend and I am debating whether I can be bothered to fight with the awful backgrounds after such superb settings as Cadwell and Oulton.

Remeber to get to Donington early and mark out your spot :) The most interesting day I had there was when I was asked to work in the paddock all day photgraphing the oily bits.

The angle on Bit of a Dog Fight is cool. I could never quite make that spot work

Hi Ken, I love the shot of the Mustang belching fire.

I thought I might've spotted you, but it turned out to be a marshal in civvies wearing a similar hat to yours :)

There was some really enjoyable racing there. Particularly the fight between the blue Mustang and the blue Anglia in the last race, the Anglia nearly got past him in a haze of tyre smoke going through Mansfield on the last lap. Great stuff !

And I think I've fallen in love with Chevrons. I can't wait for the Oulton Gold Cup to see some B19's :D

I'll some of my shots when I get back from work.

Gary.

Very cool shots there!! What lens were you using? 500mm?

Did you get to the infield at all? I think at least one of them is from the inside, but can't tell...

The Mustang Anglia battle took me back to the early seventies touring cars. The classic formula ford lead swaps at the front was rather good too.

The lens was my usual 300 2.8IS with and without TC's.

I was infield and the cresting the hill shot was taken from the marshals post at the bottom of the hill at Mansfield. I don't like how they have pushed the barrier back, spoiling the shooting opportunities and parking the ambulance in the firing line created new challenges in getting a clean shot.

The Mustang took the idea of tyre warmers to the extreme:
