I know how to enlarge the canvas area to give a picture a white border but how do you Outline that frame. I have seen soom good looking frames on pictures and wondering how they do them.
In case you cant tell still very new to PS so please be kind, Denny

Do You mean frames like this:

First I extend the canvas with 2 pixels with the color white.
Then I extend it one more time with 60 pixels with the color black.
Off course You can use the colors reverse or any other color You like.
And thats it.

As with everything else, there are loads of ways to do the same thing in Photoshop.
Tommy's method is equally valid, but take a look at the "Stroke" command on the Edit menu. This can draw different thickness lines and colours around the edge of a selection etc. it can also do it inside the selection or outside the selection etc.
I just set myself up an action to do my frame once I've done everything else. Example of my frame below:

Thank You, that is exactly what I was wanting to do, is amazing how simple you can tell me, but with out knowing was not coming close to what I wanted. Thanks Again

There's a thread here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30336&highlight=frames) where a few of us discussed this. There's even some actions posted to add frames authomatically and/or use for tutorial.
