Woah. Nice pics. I like Pic #2 best with the driver's eye behind the visor.

Great catch! You seemed to have used quite a fast shutter speed which has really helped capture the moment well!
I've seen a few bike accidents but they seem to be 100 times harder to catch on camera than cars... well that's how I find it anyway :p

Still can't figure out why I never have the finger on the focus button when someone lowsides/highsides.

Awesome catch! That group is amazing to watch unfold! I also like the 2nd one where you can see his eyes wide open. You should give him prints!
How far away from all of this were you? did the bike get close enough to you that you even though about ducking? I don't know if I could keep my cool like that to get the shots. All of the excitment involved with a crash like that... big props.

Talk about ' right place , right time ' !!! You nailed it !! This sequence is better than most seen in bike publications. Surely worth a few bob ?

Thank you very much for the cool comments.
First off Cal the rider was ok once he found his balls again as he smacked them on the tank....this took a few mins as you would expect.
I did call over to him when he was in the medical car to see if he was ok,and got a wave back.......
And yes he does have big balls as he was out in the next session 8-)
Yes right place and right time as i was the only person at this part the track (Nickerbrook) i had been there a while taking pics and was walking off back to the paddock when he came round again..........so put me bag and helmet down again and this is what i got......
1000 shutter as i was playing with all the settings on the 100-400L as it is new and only my 3rd time out with it, i had been panning at low shutter speeds then decided to stop the action.....lucky for me :D
Distance is about 75 to 150 feet i would say......first pic was at 340 mm and last pic was 120mm
My best action shots and when i needed it the most.
And to makes things a even better MCN printed a small picture of the 3rd shot in this weeks paper

Mate, you deserve to have one published. They really are very good.
Nickerbrook must have changed since I was last at Oulton, isn't it a chicane now? Last time I went through there an accident would have been a lot worst!

#2 is my fav, just the fact you can see his eyes thru the visor is awesome. You can see that 'oh crap' look in his eyes.
Still can't figure out why I never have the finger on the focus button when someone lowsides/highsides.
CF 4?
I'm taking a guess so. I switch to CF4 on my camera a week after I got it, and I've NEVER switched back. It makes too much sense having it setup like this, specially for action.
