Nikon Lens is 50mm and I have a 52mm and 58 mm adapter.
Would I experience any problems from these? Is one better than the other?
Nikon Lens--> 50mmto55mm--->55mmto58mm----> 58mm adapter--->S3
OR
Nikon Lens--> 50mmto55mm--->55mmto52mm---->52mm adapter---->S3
Is it OK to use 2 step rings to gain the desired size? I have been unable to locate a 52mm/58mm to 50mm ring anywhere. Seems like the only steps they make are 55mm and 62mm.
Thanks in advance!
Lee

Ahhhhhhh....inquiring minds want to know:D
I honestly looked for 2 days and as soon as I posted I found a thread.
Anyway, you can find 52-50 adapters but they are somewhat rare and typically come off of EBAY from Japan. Questionable quality.
Others have used to the 50 to 55 ------- 55 to 58 method without any issues.
It is actually posted in the thread directly below this one!

There's times that one may certainly question an ebay seller's honesty, but when it comes to photo accessories, I'm not sure we should question Japan. Japan is stamped on most of my Canon products. ;)
Anyway, glad you found a solution.

Didn't mean to imply Japanese products were of questionable quality, just that it was a lower priced generic adapter. I have bought my share of junk from everywhere in the world!
