New umbrella

Bought what I thought was a black backed silver reflective umbrella, but when I got it out of the bag I've found that it's an umbrella softbox.


How do these compare to a regular softbox?


Does anyone have an examples of them in use?



Hopefully I'll get the chance to play with it a bit tomorrow.
