Man it is a quick lens. Now i just need to save the cash to get one.

yeah not bad from the wrong side of the fence.. standing on a table or two tractor tyres to get shots over the fence. For what ever reason i could not get media accreditation for the meet even thou i have been covering the NZV8's over here and they were the support races. They handed out all the passes to the Aussie photoogs and only 10 NZ photogs.. some magazines had 9 photographers there. ???

Bloody Hell! WOW they are fantastic, they really pop off the screen. I have to admit the 300mm f2.8 is a brilliant lens and I don't think I would ever get rid of mine.
Cheers

Very nice shots Chris. The 300 2.8 IS is some lens.
I am surprised that some magazines had 9 photographers there. Must be a big mag. Hopefully next year you will get accreditation. I will be coming over next year for the Hamilton street race so I might see you then.

they had one photog there that had never shot cars before. She was asking everyone what to do etc.. Just p1sses you off when that happens. But i now have some ammo to go back with and say look what i got from the wrong side of the fence. now let me show what i can get from that side.. ;)

Oh wow, like, you're even shooting with the camera angled. Tehehe.
As discussed at the barby, it won't be hard to become rather valuable in the Motorsport circles soon enough. There is so much stagnation in the current ranks.
From a driver's perspective, I have seen the same shots of my car at different circuits over and over again. I cannot ever remember seeing an angled shot - subtlely or not. Seems absolutely crazy when you think about it.
You handle the 'angled' side of things, and I'll work on my 600mm plans. Deal? :)

we must get together for a chat re the other drivers and of course yourself.
I am sure you have some very useful links to team management etc - and with you driving next season you cant shoot at the same time.. :D :p
I want to crack open the old skool boys ..
Fantastic sharp photos
