There's an osprey nest built onto a pole behind my son's school and the last few days a mating pair has been hanging around taking care of their hatchlings. These are a few shots from the mid-afternoon when I went to pick him up and the last couple are the next morning. I know they aren't the best in the world, but the angle and light were a bit challenging.

#'s 7 & 8 are the best IMO - great shots.

I finally got some close shots like this - actually ended up < 30 ft away from one of them. Have to develop before posting.

I was about 30 yards from the male bird...he won't move from that branch all day except to get food.

Nice series. It's great that they can nest so close to where the kids are. Hopefully
it'll give them an appreciation of nature.
