Sorry I'm not too hot on photoshop actions. In fact it's a weakness of mine. Anyone recommend any tutorials on such. In fact I am one of these people who processes indvidual photos. V Inefficient post processing. I am eager to learn more.....................

I posted a question yesterday re batch changing from colour to black and white and have worked it out.

My next problem is how do I resize a whole folder of photos???? I guess it's kind of along the same lines.

Final point is again on actions. How do I batch process a folder to make web based files of around 100 kb.

I would really appreciate clear step by step guidance guidance............

Many Thanks for your time:oops:

Can't help you with the resizing but I recommend www.radiantvista.com website for some great video tutorials.

File -> Scripts -> Image processor. It can run the action to make things B&W if you want it to. I think it's included in CS2 if not I think it was a free add-on called Dr Browns image processor. Alternately run the action through bridge.

As Tim says: Image Procesor
Go here (http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html), and download Dr Browns version of it. Way better then the original.
Also a lot of good tutorial videos on that site.

open an image

then create a new action
after you name it, it will be recording
image>resize image
make your adjustments
then stop the recording of the action.
close your image.

then file>automate>batch

pick your new action and the source files then click ok.

or you could create a droplet then drag the files onto the droplet.

I only recommend doing this if you have a version of PS earlier than CS2. The Image Processor in CS2 can do this without having to record an action, but it will also run an action along with the resize.

EDIT: I just checked out Russel Brown's site and he also has the Image Processor available for CS. I thought it was only CS2.
