Red Ribbon Rock is an annual festival, to raise money for Dance4Life (youth section of the Dutch Aids fund)

Images of last years festival here (http://www.redribbonrock.nl/foto/)
This years images here (http://www.moonglade.net/~rene/070316RRR_web/index.htm)

Let's start off with the poster: (Photo mine, selective coloring not)

Some random bands that played:

#1: Singer Roos of "Roosbeef":

#2: Singer of "Combo Di Conjo":

#4: Singer of "Mala Vita":

#5: Guitar and bass player of "Nailpin":

#6: Singer autographing the audience...
I screwed up, and had EC at +1 and something.... Not fast enough to change it.
http://www.moonglade.net/~rene/070316RRR_web/source/image/rhd_20070316_rrr_0676.jpg

#7:... and drummer of "Nailpin":
http://www.moonglade.net/~rene/070316RRR_web/source/image/rhd_20070316_rrr_0935.jpg

Nice festival to shoot, allthough lighting in the café was hell.
A few good bands in the main hall, Mala Vita and Nailpin being the best known with the 'target audience' (young)
100 Usable images selected out of about 950. Not too bad. Some of them even good...

All shot with 1D2, 20 to 200mm. Exif should be there.

C&C welcome.

Too bad about the microphone in Roos! The poster is butt ugly, too, given how lovely she is. :-) It is never a screw-up catching the talent autographing ladies' chests.

I am known as a "Sweet Talker", eh? Anyway, you know I love redheads! Yes, lovely image. I still wish the wimmen would tear off their shirts like the men ... isn't that sexual discrimination? And, hey, I wasn't the one that said, "dog's bollocks!":lol::lol:

Great pics Rene.

I can't say I have shot a concert like this before, but from shooting theatre, i am sure it takes alot more than theatre does!

Thanks.
On the 'effect': Waaayy to long a shuttertime. (1/2 second or so). Camera was on Av, with + 1,3 EC... Flash was on ETTL.

Thanks!

I think it's a didgeridoo (how do you spell that?)

Here's a sharper image of him:

what kind of music is at this fest?

Bugger. I forgot to include links in the OP...

Some myspace and band sites. Most include audio.

Roosbeef (http://myspace.com/roosbeef), Nailpin (http://www.nailpin.be/), Mala Vita (http://www.malavita.net/), Clueless (http://myspace.com/cluelessweb) and Combo Di Conjo (http://www.combodiconjo.com/audio.html) (ouch)

Different kinds of music, from quite pop to poppy punk I'd say. Most bands quite 'easy listening', and targeted at the younger audience (16 to 20 or so) I'd say. Some exceptions to the rule off course.
