I recently went to Dallas and had a great room for taking a pano of the whole city. I want to stitch it together but the canon software that came with my S2 dont do it for me. It shows too many stitch points. I like autostitch but when overlapping photos, it seems like it puts both pictures at 50% transparency and blurs them together. It does get it lined up well though. My question is, what other good free software is out there that doesnt leave a watermark on your photo? Thanks in advance for all the help I know Ill receive

Thanks for the offer but I really want to learn how to do it myself. I just got photoshop which I will eventually end up using once I get experienced enough. I was just looking for a better free program until I get more used to PS.

Hi Barich,
I normally use Hugin (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/)with autopano-sift (http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/%7Enowozin/autopano-sift/) to create the points. When I say normally, I mean three times. It seems fairly easy to use though, at least for easy panoramas.
Coincidentally, I came across a link today to a flash based panorama stitcher and viewer, in the vein of the quick time VR panorama viewer. It's called Clevr (http://www.clevr.com/). I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
When you've finished it, let us have a look!

Im a little confused with the Hugin. What file do I actually open? I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it and then I got a folder with a ton of files and Im not really sure what one to use.

Hugin is free, you can easily find it on google. But, here is what im really gonna say, free doesn't mean the best. I heard AcroPano Panorama software from "photo forum". I am not saying its the best one, but it works so well for me. Choose whatever fits you best.

There's always canon's free photostitch program... not so great though from what I remember.

I like autostitch.
It has a free demo version which needs some configuring (output size and jpg compression level) but other than that does a fine job.

You should get excellent results with Hugin. You may need to take the time to tweak a few aspects of the process though. Loads of help online.
