SD600 vs SD1000

How big of a difference is there between the two models? I can get the SD600 for $170, while the SD1000 would cost $220. Does the SD1000 justify an aditional $50? Or should I stick with the SD600? Any input would be much appreciated!

I have an SD600 and it's a good little camera. I have not used an SD 1000.

I didn't notice much of a difference when I messed around with both when I worked at Ritz. If you're jut using it for simple fun and quick snapshots they'll both get the job done the same really. SD1000 is a bit smaller because of it's new shape. That's about it.

Actually the SD 1000 is larger and heavier according to the specs.

Is it? Idk what they're talking about. I was holding both...1000 seems lighter and kinda smaller. just shaped differently really. No curves

SD1000 has the face-detection, which some folks will find very useful but others won't. I think it's pretty good to have in a point & shoot.
