Very good, I really like this one, and awsome expression. Only crit I have is to lighten the face up some more.

A little more light may do well. I like it, though.

It is a very good shot. I like.

If I look long and hard, only crit I have is that I would have liked to see both eyes in focus.

It is underexposed, flat lit, lacks contrast, has no receiving area and no catchlights in the eyes, add to that that his hair blends in with the background and we have your basic snapshot.

Looking at it more, I think the light is just coming a little too much from the front to give it the levels and depth I think you're going for.

A snapshot it is not.

Why is that..

I think the shot can definitely be salvaged through PP,
Big fan of dark moody shots here, but it does lack contrast

If you turn on editing, maybe we can show you what we mean?

Nice comp. I think the eyes are a bit to dark.

Basically I think the lighting needs to be more from the side. It would accentuate the wrinkles and weathering in his face.

Me too. I can almost smell and feel all the winds that wore away at his youth...

I swear to all is good and sweet, if you selectively sharpen it a lot, it looks much much better, then apply a tiny weeny bit of yellowish colorization

So do I. I think it conveys very well what it tries to.
