The first person to find all of the following phrases posted inside a one day period wins!
"What lens should I get for my first wedding?"
"My Aunt/Cousin/Sister/Neighbour is getting married and they want me to do it, otherwise they'll just have disposable cameras. Help!"
"Nice shot, what lens did you use?"
"Nice shot, what aperture/shutter/ISO did you use?"
"Wow, great shots"
"I just did my first wedding, what do you think?"
"I don't buy EF-S lenses in case I get a full frame body".
"Is the XYZ lens good for wedding photography?"
"Macs are better than PCs".
"I shot at the wrong ISO and my pictures are grainy, help!"

I think...
A) Tim is really, really bored OR
B) Tim is really, really tired of the same questions/comments/statements appearing over and over and over again. :D
Oh, wait, I just saw this in his sig..."Grumpy old bastard in training".

And if he tires of them here, there are how many other photography boards that they're on?
He left off "What should I charge for this?"
and "I just got this....what do you think?"

LOL I'm thinking Tim needs something to challenge his abilities. All the questions and quesries he gets are a bit too simple. I think we should play '...Lets see if we can ask Tim a photog question and stump him!...'

which make-up is best for staying on your face and not rubbing off on the back of the camera during a wedding?

Fence paint stays on quite reliably. That or standard makeup with a layer of polyurethane.

True!

I think that falls into the "I don't care" category to be fair! If you need to bracket everything to be safe the person shouldn't be taking wedding photos.

Fence paint, are the knock offs as good as the name brand? I mean its only a couple of bucks difference and I'll only be using it until I get a new face.

Could be worse .. the posts that are truly worthless are the "birth announcement" variety .. "I'm so excited, the UPS man just brought my new 17-55 2.8. Can't wait to play with it, will post pics later"

You know, I finally decided to read this thread....HA! This group can make a 2 page thread about nothing or anything..or everything.
You know recently I thought the "old timers" (sorry Tim) had left the list, I noticed only new people responding and posting and I thought..wow..will I disappear in a few thousand posts too?
Glad to see you are out there and kicking.
Wish I had the whit you guys do...I wake up at night going " I SHOULD have said that" but by then, it's too late

Why'd you get both? Did you forget to start a "which lens should I get?" thread?! :p

It's not a bee's on, it's a brand with photo in the name, and yeah managed it about a year ago... with help from a friend!

No makeup.
You're not supposed to look better than the bride. And with all the new young female photographers it is a huge problem nowadays.

Nope. I bought the 28-70 first because I wanted to replace the Tamron with a good midrange zoom. I plan to acquire a 5D sometime next year and wanted to have decent glass to use with it. As for the 17-55, I had nothing in that focal range for a crop sensor camera and got a good deal on a used one from someone on DWF.

maybe that's what we can invent: photographers makeup. who needs waterproof makeup- its camera proof!
and Liza, you are correct with Clinique I wear a lot from them - but MAC has the best stay put eyeshadow, mascara out there :) Don't take your husbands...their make-up artist are normally GORGEOUS TOO! :) at least in Dallas anyways.. I would have bought anything she put on me.
